Role & Responsibilities

• As a Software Developer at IBM Cloud, you’ll contribute to architecting, developing, and maintaining a robust infrastructure that supports global operations. You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring availability, reliability, and security while collaborating across time zones with a global team.
• Manage the complete lifecycle of code changes: development, testing, code reviews, deployment, and operations.
• Utilize open-source tools for monitoring, debugging, and alerting of production services.
• Participate in on-call rotations to maintain service uptime.
• Engage in architectural discussions to drive future innovations.
• Stay updated on technologies like Kubernetes/OpenShift, Istio, Akamai, and IBM Cloud infrastructure.
• Offer exceptional end-user support by optimizing build processes and understanding developer needs.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or related field.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Golang, C++, Java, or Python.
• Strong analytical reasoning and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Knowledge of IBM Cloud services, with a focus on deploying and scaling applications in a cloud environment.
• Familiarity with Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) setups and containerization tools.
