Position Summary

We are seeking a Software Engineer (CAA) with a strong background in CATIA CAA development and C++ programming to deliver custom solutions that support engineering and product design teams. The ideal candidate will integrate seamlessly with our cross-functional teams and contribute to building powerful tools for 3D modeling, simulation, and design automation within CATIA.

Key Responsibilities

Software Application Development

• Design and develop solutions using the CATIA CAA (Component Application Architecture) toolkit.
• Write efficient, reliable C++ code that extends CATIA functionalities.
• Troubleshoot, optimize, and refactor legacy modules.
• Integrate CATIA tools into DevOps pipelines for better workflow automation.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation: design specs, user guides, release notes.

Requirement Analysis

• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and stakeholders to understand technical and business needs.
• Translate user requirements into scalable software features.

Testing & QA

• Develop and execute test plans to verify functionality and performance.
• Proactively identify bugs and resolve them to ensure product stability.

Collaboration & Communication

• Work in tandem with interdisciplinary teams across engineering and software domains.
• Provide project updates and suggest improvements in integration and tooling.

Preferred Skills and Competencies

Must-Have Skills

• Proficiency in C++ and CATIA CAA development.
• Understanding of 3D modeling, geometry, topology, and mathematical applications in CAD.
• Experience with Git, branching strategies, and version control.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving capabilities.

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with scripting (Python, VBA, Batch, Shell).
• Familiarity with other CAD platforms: SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo, Siemens NX.
• Exposure to PLM systems like Enovia, SMARTEAM, Siemens Teamcenter, Windchill.
• Knowledge of .NET, C#, and enterprise-level application development.
