Job Description – GenC Role

As a GenC Associate at Cognizant, fresh engineering graduates are immersed in real-time projects, collaborative development environments, and industry-standard technologies. The role emphasizes learning, skill-building, and hands-on experience across software development and testing domains.

Key Responsibilities
  • Understand and interpret business requirements, and raise timely clarifications when needed.
  • Develop, maintain, test, debug, and deploy code in alignment with requirement specifications.
  • Create documentation and low-level design components for software modules.
  • Build and execute test scenarios based on data and functional requirements.
  • Work within Agile development frameworks and abide by SDLC principles.
  • Prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines and proactively identify risks or issues.
  • Participate in project meetings, technical discussions, and collaborative sessions with team members.
  • Continuously upskill, reskill, and learn new technologies to stay updated and relevant.
  • Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills to work efficiently in a team environment.
Eligibility Criteria
  • Only students from the 2025 batch of B.E / B.Tech / M.E / M.Tech programs are eligible.
  • Candidates must maintain a consistent academic performance with a minimum of 60% in X, XII, Diploma, UG, and PG (59.9% will not be rounded off).
  • At the time of joining, candidates must have at least 60% aggregate in the final degree with no standing arrears.
  • CGPA to percentage conversion will be considered as per university guidelines.
  • Students with standing arrears are strictly not eligible.
  • Flexibility to work from any Cognizant office, across any shift, and on any assigned technology is mandatory.
  • Only Indian Nationals or OCI holders currently residing in India can apply.
  • Communication regarding the hiring process will be sent to the registered email ID on Superset. Applicants must not change this email at any point until onboarding.

Interview Process
