🔑 Role Overview

We are looking for enthusiastic, hands-on Java Engineers to join our development team for MB.Charge (previously meCharge) – our flagship EV charging product delivering a seamless global customer experience.

You’ll work on real-time, scalable, cloud-native systems that directly support Mercedes-Benz’s global EV infrastructure.

⚡ Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy cloud-native applications.

• Write clean, scalable code in Java (8+) and Spring Boot.

• Collaborate in Agile teams to deliver iterative product features.

• Conduct code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing.

• Contribute to evolving microservices architecture with best practices.

• Ensure system reliability using fault-tolerant and containerized deployments.

• Integrate across backend, frontend, and DevOps workflows.

• Maintain strong code security, performance, and CI/CD pipelines.

🛠 Required Technical Skills

Must-Have:

• Java/J2EE (Java 8+)

• Spring Boot, JUnit, Mockito

• Databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB

• Public Cloud: Azure or AWS

• Microservices architecture, Service Discovery, Fault tolerance

• Docker, Kubernetes

• Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis

• Terraform, Helm

• OpenAPI 3.x (API design)

• OAuth 1.0/2.0 (API security)

• Maven, Jenkins, Tomcat/JBoss

• Experience with cloud deployment & Kubernetes hosting

Good to Have:

• Monitoring tools: AppDynamics, Datadog

• Scripting: Groovy, Shell

• Frontend basics: JavaScript, ReactJS, Next.js, CSS

• ELK stack

• Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)
