Role Overview
The Data Engineer I role is an opportunity to leverage technical expertise in database management and architecture to design and optimize systems that ensure high performance, security, and scalability. You will collaborate with diverse teams to develop and implement cutting-edge solutions using technologies such as Postgres, Oracle, MongoDB, AWS, and GCP.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain database structures, ensuring optimal performance and integrity.
- Translate logical data architectures into robust physical designs.
- Debug, refactor, and enhance database components for improved performance.
- Partner with architects and engineers to design solutions aligned with enterprise objectives.
- Manage and optimize data replication, high availability, backup, and recovery processes.
- Collaborate with business and product teams to support database changes and implementations.
- Apply industry best practices for database administration and data management.
- Monitor, tune, and configure databases for high performance and scalability.
Technical Expertise
- Hands-on experience with Postgres, Oracle, MongoDB, AWS, and GCP.
- Strong understanding of database design, performance tuning, and data replication.
- Familiarity with distributed systems, algorithms, and multi-tiered architectures.
- Proficiency in version control systems like Git and Bitbucket.
- Added advantage for experience in building Python/Java-based applications.
