Key Job Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional Amazonians to design, build, and launch innovative products and services.
• Develop technologies in large-scale distributed computing environments that drive fundamental changes in the industry.
• Create scalable solutions to run predictions and analytics on distributed systems at massive scale and speed.
• Build distributed storage, indexing, and querying systems that are fault-tolerant, low-cost, and easy to use.
• Design and implement solutions for complex, broadly defined problems.
• Work in an agile development environment to deliver high-quality software.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Strong understanding of Computer Science fundamentals — object-oriented design, algorithms, data structures, problem solving, and complexity analysis.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as C/C++, Python, Java, or Perl.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience through technical internships or relevant projects.
• Exposure to distributed systems, multi-tier architectures, algorithms, and relational databases.
• Knowledge of optimization techniques such as linear and nonlinear programming.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills; ability to articulate technical challenges clearly.
• Ability to thrive in ambiguity and think abstractly to design creative solutions.
