Position: Junior Data Engineer

Key Responsibilities

As a Junior Data Engineer at Aidas, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• 🏗️ Design and Build Data Pipelines
  Support the design, development, and maintenance of scalable ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) and ELT (Extract, Load, Transform) data pipelines using Azure tools and technologies. Collaborate with senior engineers and data architects to build robust data workflows.
• 🔌 Data Ingestion
  Help ingest and integrate data from various internal and external data sources including APIs, flat files, databases, and cloud platforms. Ensure data is collected, transformed, and stored effectively to support business intelligence and analytics use cases.
• 🔍 Monitoring and Optimization
  Monitor data pipelines for data quality, latency, reliability, and performance. Debug and resolve data issues and continuously optimize data flow processes.
• 📊 Data Preparation for Analysis
  Work with structured and unstructured datasets to prepare them for downstream consumption. This includes data cleansing, transformation, and enrichment for analytical purposes.
• 🤝 Team Collaboration
  Participate in agile development practices and collaborate with cross-functional teams including data analysts, product managers, and software developers to deliver data-driven solutions.

Required Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following criteria:

• 🎓 Education
  A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related technical discipline with exposure to computer programming.
• 👶 Experience
  0 to 1 year of hands-on experience working with Azure Data Technologies or other data engineering environments. Fresh graduates with relevant project or internship experience are welcome to apply.
• 🧠 Technical Skills
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, particularly MS SQL Server or similar relational database management systems. You should be comfortable writing complex queries, stored procedures, views, and indexes.
  • Basic understanding or experience in ETL processes using tools like Azure Data Factory, SSIS, or similar.
  • Familiarity with working on Excel, databases, or other reporting tools.
  • Bonus: Understanding of data modeling, cloud data platforms, and scripting in Python or PowerShell.

Preferred Skills (Bonus, Not Mandatory)

• Familiarity with Azure Synapse, Databricks, or Power BI
• Knowledge of data lake architecture and big data processing frameworks
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies
• Awareness of data privacy, security protocols, and governance standards
