Key Responsibilities
Essential Duties:
Testing and Planning:
Design and implement robust testing plans and comprehensive test cases.
Develop procedures and scenarios to ensure high-quality outcomes for custom applications and platforms.
Functional Testing:
Perform both positive and negative testing to validate product functionality.
Identify potential issues that could impact performance or user experience.
Documentation and Reporting:
Use Zephyr (JIRA addon) to document test cases and results systematically.
Identify, document, and track defects or errors, and collaborate with developers to address them effectively.
User Experience and Recommendations:
Spot areas for improvement to enhance the product’s efficiency and ensure an excellent end-user experience.
Work closely with development teams to ensure the final product aligns with requirements and meets user expectations.
Cross-Team Collaboration:
Communicate project intent, progress, and results with managers and business leaders to ensure alignment with overall goals.
Participate in daily stand-ups and project meetings to provide updates and insights on QA activities.
Additional Responsibilities:
Maintain detailed and accurate documentation for all QA activities and project work.
Adhere to departmental procedures, including QA workflows and timekeeping requirements.
Collaborate with the QA Lead/Manager to discuss challenges, successes, and roadblocks.
Coordinate with developers to design and implement automated testing processes for applicable applications.
Support annual platform upgrade efforts by performing relevant QA tasks.
Perform other related duties as assigned, contributing to the team’s success.
Qualifications
Education Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.
Experience Requirements:
0–2 years of software testing experience.
Proven ability to pay close attention to detail.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Creativity, innovation, and a meticulous approach to work are essential for success.
Preferred Skills and Knowledge:
Experience with JIRA Software and Zephyr test management.
Familiarity with Relativity and knowledge of EDRM.
Proficiency with relational databases and strong computer skills.
Experience with tools and technologies such as Git, Kibana, LINQ Pad, and T-SQL.
Ability to manipulate and analyze data using text editors or other tools.
