About the Role

Ethos is seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer in Test with expertise in frontend and backend automation. You’ll play a key role in ensuring our applications deliver flawless experiences for users, helping us maintain our commitment to quality and excellence. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain robust frontend and API automation frameworks using tools like Playwright or Selenium.
• Translate Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) and Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERDs) into actionable, automated test cases.
• Write and execute complex SQL queries for backend test validation and data preparation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test strategies and uphold quality standards throughout the development lifecycle.
• Design and implement comprehensive API tests using tools such as Postman, Rest Assured, Playwright API, or Jest.
• Validate UI workflows and ensure seamless rendering across browsers and devices, proactively addressing potential issues.
• Enhance test case quality and automation coverage for functional, regression, sanity, and end-to-end UI testing.
• Support continuous integration and delivery pipelines by maintaining automation frameworks and test scripts.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright, Selenium, Postman, Rest Assured, or Jest.
• Proficiency in JavaScript or working in a Node.js environment.
• Expertise in cross-browser testing strategies and resolving browser-specific UI bugs.
• Advanced SQL skills for backend data verification.
• Familiarity with source control tools like Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with strong communication skills.
• Self-driven, adaptable, and experienced in fast-paced agile development teams.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Knowledge of performance testing tools and methodologies.
