Position Overview: L1 Service Desk Technician

Location: Remote or Office-Based
Job Type: Full-Time
Shifts: Rotational (24/7)
Experience: 0 – 6 months in IT Support
Education: BSc (IT/Computer), BCA, B.Tech/BE, MCA, M.Tech, MSc (Computer)

As an L1 Service Desk Technician, you’ll provide remote technical support and assistance to customers. The role demands strong technical expertise, effective communication skills, and the ability to resolve issues promptly to ensure client satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance via phone, chat, or email.
  • Address global client issues within a 24/7 environment.
  • Troubleshoot and configure desktop hardware and peripherals.
  • Collaborate effectively in a team environment using chat systems like Microsoft Teams or Skype.
  • Work with computer operating systems (Windows), hardware diagnostics, and software troubleshooting.
  • Multitask efficiently and maintain real-time ticket creation and documentation.
  • Follow SLA requirements and escalate unresolved issues as needed.
  • Perform remote troubleshooting using diagnostic techniques and established SOPs/Knowledge Base (KB) articles.
  • Provide accurate information about IT products or services and record events, problems, and resolutions in logs.
  • Follow up with customers to update status and gather feedback for process improvements.
  • Diagnose and resolve basic technical issues quickly and effectively.

What You Bring to the Team
  • Experience: Freshers (up to 6 months in IT Support) are welcome.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other tech products.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues promptly.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are mandatory.
  • Team Collaboration: Willingness to work in a team and contribute to a dynamic environment.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to work rotational shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Education: Relevant qualifications in IT or Computer Science (BSc, BCA, BE, MCA, MSc, etc.).
